What makes meat halal?
Halal meat must be slaughtered by a Muslim who is of sound mind, while reciting Bismillah (in the name of Allah). The cut must sever the jugular vein, carotid artery, and windpipe in one swift motion. The animal must be alive and healthy at the time of slaughter. All blood must be drained from the carcass.
Are you truly halal — not just “halal-friendly”?
Yes. Every animal processed at our facility is slaughtered by a trained Muslim slaughterman following full Islamic rites. We are certified by Halal Monitoring Services (HMS), a nationally recognized halal certification body. We do not use mechanical slaughter or any process that compromises halal integrity.
Do you use hand slaughter or machine slaughter?
We use hand slaughter only, performed by a qualified Muslim slaughterman. We do not use mechanical or machine slaughter methods.
What animals do you sell?
We sell beef, goat, lamb, mutton, veal, and chicken. We also carry organ meats, bones, ground meat, sausages, and whole/half/quarter animal packages.
Do you have live animals available?
Yes. We usually have live goats, lambs, adult sheep, and cattle available. Call us for current availability — we do not publish live animal prices online.
Can you slaughter my own animal?
Yes. We accept customer-owned animals for halal slaughter and custom processing by appointment. Contact us by phone to arrange this service. We process goats, lambs, sheep, and cattle.
How do I schedule a slaughter appointment?
All slaughter appointments must be arranged by phone. We do not accept online booking for slaughter. Call us at (814) 327-2095.
What is Qurbani and how do you handle it?
Qurbani is the Islamic sacrifice performed during Eid al-Adha. We process individual and shared Qurbani animals. Submit an inquiry form with your preferences (animal type, cutting style, packaging, participant names) and we will call to confirm details and pricing. No payment is collected online.
What is Aqiqah and what does your Aqiqah service include?
Aqiqah is the Islamic sacrifice performed upon the birth of a child — one animal for a girl, two for a boy. We slaughter, cut, package, and label your Aqiqah portions, including separate clearly labeled charity packages. You are responsible for distributing the charity portions. We do not handle distribution.
Do you sell wholesale / commercial?
Yes. We supply restaurants, grocery stores, halal markets, mosques, caterers, institutions, other butcher shops, and distributors. Submit a wholesale inquiry or call us to discuss your needs. Pricing, minimums, and documentation are arranged by phone or email.
Do you deliver?
We do not offer delivery. All orders are pickup only from our facility at 1852 Hyndman Rd, Hyndman PA.
Can I place an order online?
Our catalog is informational — we do not have an online checkout. To order, call us at (814) 327-2095 or visit in person. Inquiry forms are available for Qurbani, Aqiqah, wholesale, and custom cutting — these initiate a phone conversation, not an online purchase.
What are your business hours?

How far is Hyndman from Bedford, Cumberland, or Morgantown?
Hyndman is approximately 30 minutes from Bedford PA, 30–45 minutes from Cumberland MD, and about 90 minutes from Morgantown WV. Many customers from these areas make regular trips for our halal meat.
Do you have certification documentation for commercial buyers?
Yes. We provide halal certificates, USDA inspection documentation, and other records to commercial buyers on request. Contact us by phone or through the wholesale inquiry form.
